County Seat – L’Anse (pop 2107)

Baraga County is a county in the UP on the Lake Superior shoreline. It is a ticket splitting county between Marquette and Houghton.

Baraga County, like most UP counties are ticket splitters. The Gregg Nominelli win in this county though shows that they are willing to vote for non-federal republicans though. This is an area worth fighting for since there’s a Western UP state representative seat that is winnable if we have a good turnout in Houghton to counter Ironwood.
