President Bush ran about even with most Republicans in Charlevoix County. Both the vacation home voters, and long time residents voted for him outside of St James Township on Beaver Island, which took a major democrat swing in 2004. Since St James was a tie in 2000, I considered a "flip" from no winner to Kerry. Outside of Bart Stupak’s opponents, Republicans usually win.
