Presque Isle significantly shifted in both directions in 2004 from 2000, but the end results were close to the same.

Redistricting changed the state senate district. The state senate district is the Northwest Michigan based district held by Jason Allen. The state rep district is a swing Alpena based district which should be competitive when it opens.

Your analysis is very interesting but Presque Isle is in the 35th Senate district not the 36th. It is the only county (I think)that Jason Allen lost in 2002.

Sorry I meant the 37th not the 36th or 35th.

Thanks. I corrected that. It is in the 37th. I got my numbers right, but the names wrong from Copy/Paste.
