St Joe County (not to be confused with St Joe City near Benton Harbor) is a solid GOP county in Southwestern Michigan. The only democrat area here is Three Rivers. Sturgis is one of the few solid GOP cities that isn’t a “suburb”. Redistricting significantly changed the state senate seat by having all of St Joe County in one district. It only slightly changed the state rep seat. This is a base county for the GOP.
