District covers:
Hamtramck, Highland Park, North Central Detroit

Most of this district is in Detroit, but it also covers Highland Park and Hamtramck. Hamtramck was once the Polish capital of Michigan, but it’s much different today. Today, there are large numbers of blacks, Albanians, East Indians, and Arabs there. This district is as democrat as any other Detroit district. In fact, it is unopposed for the 2nd straight election despite being an open seat. However, there is a 12 way primary to determine the winner.
